Patriots Prepping For Two Quarterbacks
The Patriots are in a bit of a pickle this week. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustained his second concussion last week, so back up Matt Flynn may get the call. The Pats have to be ready either way.
"We just have to be prepared for whoever's in there," linebacker Rob Ninkovich said. "[We are] checking out their offense, seeing what they do, and being ready for whoever's out there."
Flynn was a 7th round draft choice in 2008 and before last Sunday he had only thrown one pass since the preseason. The Patriots are practicing as if Rodgers is going to start, but regardless of who's under center, they have the big picture in mind.
"On offense, they're going to do what they do. I'm sure that they're not going to change the offense a lot," Ninkovich said. "They're going to continue to run some of the same things on offense, so you just have to be prepared for the different things they run."
