Patriots Owner Will Match First $1 Million Donated To Red Cross For Harvey Flooding
FOXBORO (CBS) – New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is making a big contribution to help those affected by the disastrous flooding in Texas.
The team tells WBZ-TV that Kraft will match the first $1 million raised by the American Red Cross (at this specific link) in the wake of Hurricane Harvey's devastation. The Patriots are working with the Red Cross to set up a website to accept those donations, and more details will be shared later Monday.

Several players and other members of the Patriots organization have ties to Houston, hit especially hard by the storm.
"Houston is a special city to our family and our organization," Kraft said in a statement. "The New England Patriots and our fans have celebrated two of our franchise's greatest and most memorable moments in Houston."
The Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Houston this February to win their fifth Super Bowl. They won their second Super Bowl in Houston back in 2004, beating the Carolina Panthers.
"When natural disasters have impacted our country, they have always unified communities and rallied support throughout the nation. We have already heard stories of heroic rescues and strangers helping strangers in this time of need," Kraft goes on to say. "These stories have inspired us, as we always encourage bringing communities together, building bridges and helping others. We are eager to join in these efforts and provide our support."
