Patriots Mayo Fined $25K For Hit
BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is a lot lighter in the pockets today.
Mayo was fined $25,000 by the NFL on Friday for roughing Colts quarterback Dan Orlovsky in last Sunday's 31-24 win over Indy.
Mayo was not flagged for the play, but was fined because the hit was in the head/neck area.
The fine is the largest given to a Patriots player this season.
