Patriots Lose Mankins To Knee Injury
FOXBORO (CBS) - After losing left tackle Matt Light just before the game, the New England Patriots offensive line took another hit when Logan Mankins had to leave in the first quarter against the Miami Dolphins with a knee injury.
He did not return to the 27-24 win over Miami.
Mankins had his left leg fallen on by Dolphins defensive lineman Jared Odrick during a run play. He stayed in the game for next play before coming off the field on fourth down. He was examined on the bench and had his knee wrapped, but after testing it returned to the bench.

The Pats guard was filling in for Light at left tackle, his first career start at the position since his college days at Fresno State.
Without Mankins and Light, the Patriots were without two of their best offensive lineman against the Miami. Relying heavily on rookies Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon, Miami was able to sack Tom Brady four times, with three of them coming in the first half.
