Patriots Julian Edelman Hits Practice Field On Friday
BOSTON (CBS) -- On Thursday, Patriots fans were surprised to see tight end Rob Gronkowski make his return to the practice field.
There was another surprise for them on Friday, as wide receiver Julian Edelman was out with his teammates for the first time since injuring his foot back in New England's November 15 win over the New York Giants.
Edelman clearly wasn't 100 percent when he took the field, according to reporters at practice. The receiver is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, but just the fact Edelman was back on the field is great news, and could be a sign that he'll be ready to go when the regular season comes to a close.
In nine games this season, Edelman had a team-high 61 receptions on 88 targets for 692 yards and a career-high seven touchdowns.
