Patriots-Jets Week 7 Predictions
BOSTON (CBS) - The WBZ-TV, 98.5 The Sports Hub and WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Sports teams make their prediction for Sunday's Patriots-Jets matchup in New York.
Steve Burton, WBZ-TV
They are beaten up, battered and bruised, and players are dropping like flies.
But the Patriots will still probably beat the Jets on Sunday.
Sure, Jerod Mayo has joined Vince Wilfork on the IR, leaving a very big void on the New England defense. Look for Dont'a Hightower to take over for Mayo when it comes to calling the plays on defense.
The good news is the Patriots still have Tom Brady, and they may even have Rob Gronkowski back this weekend. If the Patriots can protect Brady, the Jets are in trouble.

The Patriots are banged up and will have their hands full this weekend with a tough Jets defense. But Brady and company should score some points.
Some big keys this weekend are to avoid turnovers (the Jets have forced just three so far this season) and don't let rookie QB Geno Smith to get into a rhythm.

Levan Reid, WBZ-TV
After that huge last-second win last Sunday, the Pats have to play a division game against what could be the toughest team in the AFC East.
Forget about the fact that the Pats have won five in a row against the Jets, this New York team is tough and New England is playing thin. No Mayo, no Talib, no Wilfork, no Amendola, no Vereen and no Tommy Kelly. The Pats have had to play patch-work all season long and they have done a very good job.
They may not be able to run against the Jets, though not many teams have this season. So I expect this game to be another low-scoring affair.
So what do we trust? The Pats offense vs. the Jets defense or the Jets offense vs. the Pats defense? I know the Pats are injured up the middle but I still don't think the Jets can score.
In Tom Brady we all trust, and he may even have Rob Gronkowski back this weekend. If not, Brady will find a way to move the ball, get a lead and then force New York have to have to put the game in Geno Smith's hands. If that's the case -- and I think it will be -- the Pats get the victory.

Scott Zolak, 98.5 The SPorts Hub
The Jets don't have enough weapons to put enough points on the board.
I think it will be a tight game for a while but the Patriots will end up winning this one by a couple touchdowns.
I'm looking forward to seeing Bon Jovi on the sidelines before the game.
Patriots 31, Jets 17
Andy Gresh, 98.5 The Sports Hub
The Jets flat out suck on offense, but the Patriots have to watch Geno Smith making plays with his legs. They cant let Steven HIll beat them over the top either.
I don't know how the Patriots will score, but they find a way.
