Patriots-Jets Flexed Out Of Prime-Time Slot In Week 12
BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots fans will be getting to bed a bit earlier in a couple of weeks, thanks to a scheduling change by the NFL.
The league announced Monday that the Week 12 game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets has been moved out of the 8:25 p.m. national time slot and into the 4:25 p.m. time slot.
The game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will take the place of the Pats-Jets game.
The Patriots, currently 7-2 and coming off a loss on Sunday night to the Seahawks, always represent a ratings draw. But the Jets at 3-7 and without an NFL-caliber starting quarterback were likely deemed not competitive enough to draw in many interested viewers.
The Patriots have already played three prime-time games this season -- Week 1 at Arizona, Week 3 vs. Houston, Week 10 vs. Seattle -- and were scheduled for five on the season. They will face the Baltimore Ravens at home on Monday Night Football in Week 14.
