Patriots Injury Report: Mankins Doubtful; Hernandez, Welker Among Questionable vs. Colts
BOSTON (CBS) - When it comes to the Patriots injury report lately, they may just be better off listing the players that aren't injured.
20 players appeared on Friday's injury report, with guard Logan Mankins listed as "doubtful" for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Mankins left last week's win over the Bills with a calf/ankle injury, and did not practice at all this week.
16 players are listed as "questionable," including tight end Aaron Hernandez who was limited in practice all three days this week. Earlier on Friday, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported that Hernandez likely wouldn't play on Sunday thanks to a lingering ankle injury.
Receiver Wes Welker was also limited on Friday, his first practice of the week after missing both Wednesday and Thursday with an ankle injury.
Guard Dan Connolly (back) also made his return to practice on Friday and is questionable for Sunday.
Other Patriots questionable for Sunday's game include safeties Patrick Chung (shoulder/hamstring) and Steve Gregory (hip), linebackers Dont'a Hightower (hamstring) and Brandon Spikes (knee), wide receivers Deion Branch (hamstring) and Brandon Lloyd (knee), and offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back).
Receiver Julian Edelman (hand), defensive tackle Kyle Love (knee) and linebacker Jerod Mayo (elbow) were all full participants in practice and are "probable" for Sunday's game.
