Patriots Injury Report: Gronkowski, Solder Out Vs. Cardinals
BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will not play in Sunday night's season opener against the Cardinals in Arizona.
Gronk was one of eight players listed as "Questionable" on Friday's practice report, but the team downgraded him to "Out" hours later. Guard Jonathan Cooper (foot) and Offensive Tackle Nate Solder (hamstring) were also downgraded and will miss the game.
Gronkowski was limited for the third straight day at practice on Friday, as he nurses a hamstring injury he suffered during joint practice with the Chicago Bears back on August 15.
The Providence Journal's Mark Daniels first reported that Gronk, Cooper and Solder were not with their teammates on the flight to Arizona.
Here's the full list of Patriots players listed as "Questionable" for Sunday's tilt:
Defensive lineman Trey Flowers (shoulder)
Offensive lineman Shaq Mason (hand)
Linebacker Shea McClellin (shoulder)
Wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (elbow)
Wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder)
Hogan was the lone player on Friday's injury report who was a full participant in Friday's session.
