Patriots Honor 26 Myra Kraft Community MVPs
BOSTON (CBS) -- Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots honored 26 winners of the 2014 Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards on Monday at Gillette Stadium, donating $200,000 to local nonprofits.
The Myra Kraft Community MVP Award, which honors individuals who exemplify leadership, dedication and a commitment to improving their communities through volunteerism, is given in memory of Kraft's late wife, who passed away in 2011 after a long battle with cancer.
Natick's Max Wallack was this year's grand prize winner, and received $25,000 for his charity Puzzles To Remember, which he founded back in 2008. The organization provides puzzles to nursing homes, veterans facilities, and other facilities that care for Alzheimer's and dementia patients.
