Haynesworth Not Satisfied, Wants To 'Get A Lot Better'
FOXBORO (CBS) – After missing two of the first five games and recording only three tackles while on the field, New England Patriots defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth wants to get better.
A lot better.
"I wouldn't say I'm satisfied," Haynesworth said to a sea of reporters in the Patriots locker room on Wednesday. "If I'm not making every tackle, every sack, every pass defended, I'm not satisfied. I'm OK with it, but I want to definitely increase and get a lot better and want them to see what I can do."
Haynesworth Wants To Improve
"I want to be the best at what I do at all times; I never want to slack," he said. "If I make a tackle for a one-yard gain, I think it should be a one-yard loss. If I make a sack for a five yard game, I should have added a sack and a strip and picked up the fumble."

Haynesworth played in the Patriots first two games of the season, but missed the following two with a back injury. He returned Sunday against the Jets but did not record any defensive statistics during his time on the field.
The 10-year veteran says he is feeling better, and his play should improve the more he gets used to his new team and system. Right now, he is only averaging around 25 snaps per game.
"I feel ok, (I'm) still trying to shake some things," said Haynesworth. "As time I goes I'm feeling better and better and more comfortable in the whole scheme of things."
"The more I play the more familiar I can get," he added. "Coach isn't going to rush anything. He wants me to get my feet under me so I can play well."

Overall, Haynesworth said he is noticing improvements on a defense that ranks at the bottom in the NFL.
"We're starting to gel as a good defense, a good defensive line. Starting to feel for what everybody can do. We just have to keep heading in the right direction."
