Patriots Fan Named NFL Play 60 Super Kid

FOXBORO (CBS) – Patriots fan James Gale was chosen as this year's NFL PLAY 60 Super Kid. Gale, 11, will hand the game ball to an official before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

On Friday, he visited Gillette Stadium in Foxboro where he met Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his favorite player Wes Welker.

More than 10,000 young fans nationwide entered the NFL PLAY 60 Super Bowl Contest. To be eligible, they pledged to be active for 60 minutes a day and answered questions about the importance of health and fitness.

Gale's answers focused on Welker, and how he inspires him to be fit. As Gale wrote, "[Welker] shows that you don't have to be the biggest or fastest to be the best. He uses all of his talents and brains to be the best receiver in the NFL."

Gale will be a special guest of the Patriots at tomorrow's AFC Divisional Playoff game, where he will run the ball on-field before kick off.
