Patriots Fan Bus Is A Tailgater's Dream

FOXBORO (CBS) -- The Patriots are hitting the road for Sunday's AFC Championship game, so there won't be any tailgating unless you're headed to Denver. Bruce MacIness and Bill Murphy of Foxboro are doing just that--in a man cave on wheels.

They bought the converted school bus back in 2009, and slowly but surely turned it into the rolling sports knickknack shop that it is today. They've also got audio and video covered.

"We got a couple of nice speakers up here that were actually donated by a friend," said MacIness. "We're HD TV capable."

There are also mini-van seats bought from Craigslist and mounted on the floor, a gnome collection, clay from the 2004 Red Sox World Series Game Four pitcher's mound, and even a patriotic mascot in the form of a dog named Nylah.

"Just working on it was a lot of fun, because you know what you're doing, you're aiming toward something" said Murphy, who added they started with the very basic stripped bus and just went from there.

The bus gets a lot of attention on the road. The crew even has their own theme music when they pull into the parking lot before games.

"They like the music, not so much the team," said MacIness.

"We get few things thrown at us," said Murphy. "Nothing really hits the bus, couple of hot dogs."

The bus has traveled to Cleveland, Buffalo, and Charlotte, but there's just one ultimate destination this year.

"We're on to San Francisco," said MacIness, hopeful that the Pats go all the way to the Super Bowl.
