Patriots Ellis On Mission For Ring
FOXBORO (CBS) - Now in his 12th season in the league and his first with the New England Patriots, defensive end Shaun Ellis only has one goal in mind.
It's all about the championship for the guy that everybody calls the "big cat." He's not worried about the playing time or that for the first time in his career, he dressed but did not leave the sidelines. That happened in the Pats win on Monday night against the Chiefs, and Ellis understands that the ultimate goal is to win the last the game of the season.

"These guys have a ring and I don't have one, however you slice it," the 34-year-old Ellis said Thursday. "When things aren't going your way, you can pout, moan, bitch and complain, or do what's best. In the end, [Coach Belichick] makes the decisions. First and foremost, I'm a team player. I've always been that way."
Ellis lost playing time to Brandon Deaderick, who tallied a pair of tackles in the win over the Chiefs. Ellis was limited during practice last week with a rib injury that kept him out of the Pats 24-20 loss to the Giants earlier this month.
