Patriots To Cut Reggie Wayne
FOXBORO (CBS) – Make that two surprise cuts for the Patriots.
As the team works to cut its roster down to 53 players by 4 p.m., ESPN reports that wide receiver Reggie Wayne is among those who have not made the team.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Wayne asked to be released.
The wide receiver was not spotted at practice Saturday, prompting suspicion that his spot on the team was in question.
New England also plans to cut or trade running back Jonas Gray, according to reports.
