McCourty Not At Practice
BOSTON (CBS) -- Devin McCourty was not spotted at the Patriots media session of practice on Wednesday.
The rookie cornerback left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a rib injury. McCourty told he teammates afterward, he was in pain but did not think it was a big deal -- and that was before he was set to undergo tests.
The Pats have not said anything about McCourty injury.
In addition to McCourty, the Patriots began practice today without four defensive linemen -- Mike Wright (concussion), Myron Pryor (back), Ron Brace (head) and Gerard Warren (knee). That explains, in part, why the team signed free-agent defensive lineman Louis Leonard on Wednesday.
Also, quarterback Tom Brady was not spotted at the start of practice. That has been the norm in past weeks, as Brady -- who has been listed on the injury report with right shoulder/foot injuries -- has not practiced until Thursday.
