Gronkowski Reportedly Expected To Play Through Pain
FOXBORO (CBS) – The status of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski for Saturday's playoff game versus the Kansas City Chiefs has been up in the air this week as he deals with knee and back issues.
Officially, Gronkowsi was listed on the team's injury report on Friday as questionable.
But according to one Saturday morning report, Gronk will be on the field as New England looks to advance to a fifth straight AFC Championship Game.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported early Saturday morning that Gronk will suit up against the Chiefs, though it appears he will be forced to play through pain.
Late Friday night, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported that Gronk will "be limited, but he'll play."
Gronkowski was one of several key Patriots listed as questionable, including Julian Edelman (foot), Dont'a Hightower (knee) and Chandler Jones (abdomen/toe).
