Patriots Charitable Foundation Donates Coats To Homeless
BOSTON (CBS) -- Just in time for the coldest nights of the winter, some 200 coats were given to the homeless on Tuesday thanks to a donation from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.
Patriots CEO Robert Kraft joined Mayor Marty Walsh and others at the Pine Street Inn in helping hand out the special winter coats, which also double as sleeping bags, to help the homeless get through these cold days and nights.

Pine Street Inn President Lyndia Downie said it's a very busy time for the shelter.
"Last night was cold but not as cold as we're expecting," Downie said. "We had 90 men on the floor last night."
Kraft presented a $20,000 check to the inn to pay for the coats, which are made locally through the inn's Empowerment Plan by homeless men and women.
Walsh said more needs to be done in Boston to protect those on the streets.
"We have to do more to end homelessness," Walsh said. "It's very sad to see we're celebrating the fact that we're giving them coats so they can be warm outside, we have to go deeper than that."
Pine Street Inn and city vans are out every night helping the homeless find a warm place to sleep.
