Patriots Bryan Stork Misses Third Straight Practice
BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots center Bryan Stork missed his third straight practice on Tuesday, making it unlikely he'll play in New England's season opener Thursday night.
Stork (concussion) was the lone Patriot to miss Tuesday's final practice ahead of Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That means Bill Belichick will probably have to find someone else to snap the ball to Tom Brady against the Steelers, with Ryan Wendell a likely candidate. Rookie center David Andrews could also see some playing time.
Not having the second-year center would be big for the Patriots, as Stork is credited with helping solidify the shaky the offensive line that plagued New England early in 2014.
The rest of New England's practice report remained the same from Monday's. Safety Tavon Wilson (quad) was the only player limited, while running back Travaris Cadet (hamstring) and defensive lineman Trey Flowers (knee) were both full participants at Tuesday's session.
The Patriots are off on Wednesday, but that's when the team will release their injury report with the game status for players. When that comes out, expect to see "Out" next to Stork's name.
