Brady: Welker 'A Little Bit Of A Jokester'
BOSTON (CBS) - Wes Welker showed everyone his comedic side Sunday following the Patriots win over the Denver Broncos.
Welker took a friendly jab at head coach Bill Belichick, saying "it was nice to stick it in Bill's face" following his 13-catch performance.
For his teammates, Welker's sense of humor is nothing new. The only difference this time is they weren't on the receiving end.

It's usually quarterback Tom Brady that has jabs thrown at him from #83.
"I'm on the receiving end of a lot of his jokes," Brady said of Welker on Wednesday. "He has a great personality. He works so hard and he likes to keep the mood light."
"He's a little bit of a jokester," Brady added. "Not only that, he's a great football player. I think his jokes don't go over very well if he's not playing well. So, I'm glad he's playing well."

While Patriots of the past were famous for their practical jokes, mainly retired offensive lineman Matt Light, Welker is more of a verbal comedian.
"He's relentless," said Brady. "He always has to have the last word and he usually gets it because he stays on it until you're worn out. Those are usually the guys you don't want to go after."
