Brady On Exchange With O'Brien: 'I Deserved It'
BOSTON (CBS) - Tom Brady was already upset with himself after throwing a fourth quarter interception in the end zone against the Washington Redskins.
When he hit the sidelines, Brady was looking for someone to yell at. He was upset with rookie receiver Tiquan Underwood, who he was looking for on the play. After a few words for the receiver, an angry Bill O'Brien let Brady know it was his mistake, not Underwood's, and a heated exchange ensued.
It looked like a bad site on television, but the Patriots QB said he got what he deserved from his offensive coordinator after the 34-27 win.
"I threw a pretty bad interception so he wasn't happy about it," Brady said of O'Brien. "It was probably a long line of players and coaches that were pissed at me, but Billy got to me first. He let me have it, I deserved it."

Brady was looking for Underwood in the back of the end zone, which would have put New England up by two scores with 6:30 remaining. But Brady's throw was low, and Josh Wilson got to the ball and gave Washington new life.

"I made a terrible play. He just wanted to let me know I made a terrible play," Brady said of the exchange. "It's football; it's a game of emotion. That's athletics."
"We're both pretty emotional guys," said Brady. "That's what I deserve. You make bad plays you're supposed to get yelled at by your coaches. It's certainly not the first time, and probably won't be the last. You can't do it in that situation, it was just a stupid play by me."

Head coach Bill Belichick, who had to get between O'Brien and Brady, who was sitting on the bench, did not think much of the exchange.
"I think this is a real competitive game, and we have a lot of competitive players on this team,' said Belichick. "I'm glad we have them."
