Patriots Blog: Wilhite Out, Leonard In
FOXBORO (CBS) - The Patriots made some roster moves Thursday.
They announced they are placing cornerback Jonathan Wilhite on season-ending injured reserve with a hip-hamstring injury.
He's missed the last four games.
Second-year cornerback Darius Butler has largely replaced Wilhite in his role as slot cornerback.
In his place they have signed veteran defensive lineman Louis Leonard to the 53-man roster.
The signing of Leonard will provide depth along the defensive line, which has been thinned recently after injuries to Mike Wright (concussion), Myron Pryor (back), and Ron Brace (head).
Also, veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren missed time in Sunday's win over the Bears with a knee injury, although he returned in the second half.
