Patriots Blog: Wilfork Keeping The Faith
FOXBORO (CBS) - New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork was very clear when talking to the media on Thursday.
He understands the Patriots are at a cross-roads in their season but he has faith in everybody in that locker room. Vince believes they will be able to put together a solid November and December.
"I think we have a good team here, I really do," Wilfork said. "We just have to work a little harder, especially now [with] 10-11 teams in the AFC [.500 or better]. Nothing is decided now. It's like we're starting at 0-0 right now."
Vince says this team has worked too hard for doubt to creep in after back-to-back losses. He believes this team is mentally stronger than that.
Gronk On T&R: "Be Ready For Anything" Against Jets
"I have faith in this team. I really do. I believe all of us are going to come to work and we're going to grind, and grind for one another," said Wilfork. "It starts on the practice field. We had a good day yesterday and now we need a better day today, and a better day Friday, and Saturday into Sunday. That's where we're at as a team."
They'll need a full team effort against the Jets on Sunday. Power in the AFC East may depend on it.
