Patriots Blog: The Gronk Life
BOSTON (CBS) - Siblings inside the locker rooms is something the New England Patriots are learning to live with.
But more importantly, it's something Wes Welker is learning to live with.
In the locker room, Wes is flanked on either side by a Gronkowski. He says it's all good. So far at least.
"I thought it was going to be very interesting, like I was going to have two idiots right next to me on both sides, but [Dan] is actually pretty bright. I was actually surprised," Welker cracked, before adding
"They're great, I love playing with those guys," said Welker. "We're going to have some fun with them, hopefully win some football games, starting with Miami."
The Patriots did not have the brothers Rob and Dan become locker mates, possibly from fear that it will be too distracting. Right now, Dan is living with his younger brother and says you may think they are in it for a good time, but this is all business.
Wait, a Gronkowski said that?
"It's been all business. Everything we've done has been talking about football, just getting ready for this game," said Dan.
Patriots Blog: The New Guys
Coming from Denver, with former Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels at the helm before he was fired during the middle of last season, Dan has noticed some similarities between the two offenses. He says he can do the same things his brother can on offense, which is good news for New England.
"I think I'm very similar to my brother in what I can bring," said Dan. "Hopefully I can fit right into the offense which I'm very familiar with."
It also helps when a family member is there for any question he may have.
"He's definitely helping me out a lot. If I have any questions, we're just sitting there and talking basically the whole night," Dan said of his younger brother. "It's all football. It's nothing more when we're home right now."

"Just having my brother here, everyone knows his personality, and I kind of fit right in. It kind of feels like I've been here for a while now," he said.
Although he might not put up the stats his younger sibling brought last season, look for Dan Gronkowski to make a splash on special teams. We may even see the Brothers Gronk on the field at the same time in a two tight end set.
Let's just hope the field is big enough for them.
