Patriots Blog: The Ever-Growing List Of Patriots Not On The Field
BOSTON (CBS) - The list of Patriots who are not on the field (or limited on it) due to injury or off-field issues is starting to get pretty big. Here's something to keep you updated:
Aaron Hernandez: We know, no reason to talk about it.
Rob Gronkowski: Gronk missed all of the preseason and the first two games while recovering from back and forearm surgery. There is a 50/50 chance that he will play this weekend against the Buccaneers -- according to a report. I say if he's healthy, get him out there.

Shane Vereen: The young man had a very good preseason and carried the Pats in the first game against Buffalo when Stevan Ridley was benched. Turns out during that game, he broke a bone in his wrist on his first play from scrimmage. Vereen had surgery, was placed on the IR and could be out until week 11.
Matthew Slater: In the second game of the season against the Jets, the Pats captain and ace special teamer broke a bone in his hand. Word is he is out 4 to 6 weeks. The Pats will miss his leadership.
Danny Amendola: Danny had a strained groin through the preseason and during the first game he hurt himself again. He finished the game against the Bills with valiant effort and helped lead the Patriots to victory. He missed the second game and now there are reports that he has torn adductor muscles in his hip and there are conflicting reports that he has a sports hernia. Even though he was on the field at practice on Monday, a timetable for his return is unknown.
Aqib Talib: Talib was absent on Monday after being taken down at the knees by New York's Nick Mangold on Thursday. We'll see if he's out there come Wednesday, and if he shows up on the practice/injury report.

Alfonzo Dennard: The Pats cornerback was in a Nebraska courthouse Monday where he admitted to violating the terms of his probation. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail (to be served in March 2014) after being convicted of assaulting a police officer, and now he will have a hearing on December 5 to see if there will be further sentencing. For now, he's free on probation until the hearing, so his Patriots status is unaffected.
Brandon Bolden: Last year Bolden helped the team out following the departure of BenJarvis Green-Ellis. This season he can't get on the field because of a bad knee.
Zach Sudfeld: The Patriots rookie tight end missed the last game with a pulled hamstring he suffered in Week 1. The Pats need him to get back out there, as they are very thin at the position.
