Patriots Blog: The Brothers Gronkowski
FOXBORO (CBS)- We now have a little bit of sibling rivalry is on the Patriots roster.
New England has officially signed tight end Dan Gronkowski, brother of Rob Gronkowski. Their lockers are not together, likely because Bill Belichick had to separate them to stop the noogies, head-locks and inside jokes.
The excitement is there though.
"You get excited, definitely. It's a family member," Rob said. "You're grateful to have brothers in the league, and then when it comes down to it, and you have a brother on the same team, that's awesome. It's a lot more support, and a lot more intensity we can bring out in each other because we know each other like that. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Though it's fun, football is their jobs. Dan used to play in Denver and was part of Josh McDaniels' system and that's what made him so inviting to the Pats. Coach said what the Pats do is actually similar, and Dan could even see some time on special teams.
"We felt like he's a good addition to our team offensively and he has some playing time in the kicking game," said Belichick.

"He's a nice guy, mature and has some familiarity with what we've done being with Josh last year," added Brady. "The more good players we have, the better the football team we'll be."
Rob has told his brother to bring his best game.
"This is definitely business. We're focusing on our job and focused on Miami. He just came in yesterday, and he has to catch up and everything. We really have no time to interact as brothers right now," he relayed. "He just feels like another player right now."
