Patriots Blog: Ridley Taking Role In Stride
FOXBORO (CBS) - For the first time in what seemed like forever, Stevan Ridley spoke to the media.
The Patriots rookie running back has seen his production go down since the beginning of the season, but remains upbeat.
"[Reps] have been up and down, but that's part of football and it's part of growing and part of maturing," said Ridley, who has 190 yards and a touchdown on 31 attempts this year. "I just have to go out there and do it play to play. I think if I do that, I think that will be the quickest way to get on the field."
Ridley says he is ready for the Jets and whatever they bring. When asked is it hard to build momentum when the playing time is so sporadic, Ridley says you have to make the best of every opportunity.

"This job is a hard job. As a player, you can fall into that if you want to, but that's really going to put you behind as a person," he answered. "So really, when you get the opportunity, if you don't go out there and make the most out of it, don't [expect] to get another one. I'm not going to fall into that trap of saying 'the reps have been down.' I just know I'm trying to take advantage of every opportunity they give me."
