Patriots Blog: Potential Pro Bowlers
BOSTON (CBS) - The Pro Bowl teams will be announced Tuesday night and you can expect the Patriots to factor heavily in the ballots.
Tom Brady, Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski are sure to be locks. All three led their respective positions in fan voting, along with guard Logan Mankins and defensive end Andre Carter.
Mankins hasn't had a great year but he got the fan votes. Fellow O-lineman Brian Waters could (and should) get some love from the coaches and players.

Aaron Hernandez finished second among AFC tight ends in fan voting, and would give the Patriots a pair of Pro Bowl tight ends if he makes the team. Matt Light and Kyle Arrington also finished second at their respective positions in fan voting.
Fan voting counts for one-third f the process with the coaches and player votes taking up the other two-thirds.
Of course when it is all said and done, none of the Patriots would like to make that trip to Honolulu. That would mean the team is getting ready to play in the Super Bowl, slated for the week following the Pro Bowl.
