Patriots Blog: Patriots-Giants All Over Again
FOXBORO (CBS) - Well it's never to early to get this started.
The Giants and the Patriots are tied together in many ways, and now you can add another Superbowl.
I know New England is the favorite but this is as close a matchup that we have in the NFL.
The Giants still have a hard-hitting pass-rush, which is as good as ever. On offense, Eli Manning has backed up all the elite quarterback talk from prior to the season. And instead of Plaxico Burress and Armani Toomer catching his passes, it's the much younger and more explosive Victor Cruz and Hakim Nicks this time around.

But the Patriots should know this. They had to deal with the Giants back in November, and it didn't go so well. Tom Brady hit Rob Gronkowski for a go-ahead touchdown with just over a minute left in that game, only to have Eli come right back and hit his own tight end, Jake Ballard, for a game-winning score with just 15 seconds left.
The Giants D is going to bring it against Tom Brady, and the Patriots D has to be ready to stop Manning and his receivers.
Who do you like this time around? Well, you have two weeks to decide. But I will say this; the Giants have confidence they can beat the Pats and the Pats have to beat the confidence.
