Patriots Blog: Mayo's Status Still Unknown
FOXBORO (CBS) - The status of Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers is still up in the air.
Mayo has been limited in practice all week as he tried to come back from a knee injury. Coach Bill Belichick says he will make a decision over the two days on whether the captain will play.

"Well, he's been limited in practice, so he's done some things, and other things he hasn't done," said Belichick prior to Friday's practice at Gillette Stadium. "He's trying to do a little bit more each day. We'll see how that goes today. And then, we'll make a decision on this weekend, based on the whole body of work."

So I guess we will see. If Mayo is not ready to go you can expect to see Gary Guyton and maybe Dane Fletcher, who has missed practice with a thumb injury, jumping into that spot once again.
