Patriots Blog: Jets Get Gronked
FOXBORO (CBS) - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's performance Sunday night was impressive.
Just ask the Jets.
Eight catches for 113 yards and two more touchdowns. Rex Ryan is going to look at the film on Monday and have nightmares. Gronk was open because of his size, and the Jets had no answer.
"That was one of the issues," said Ryan. "The kid makes a lot of plays. He's a factor in the red zone. You have to watch [Wes] Welker -- they have a lot of weapons. We tried to match them up in different zones, we tried to bracket sometimes. But the young man did a nice job of catching the football."

Gronkowski was the big story in Sunday night's 37-16 Patriots win. Welker found himself on Revis island for most of the contest, keeping him to just six catches for 46 yards.
While Tom Brady spread the ball around, Gronkowski caught most of his focus. Ryan found the second year tight end tough to cover.

"There a lot of guys that are main targets for [Brady]," he said. "Everyone is playing great. You never know who can be the main target that game. You never know what the coverage is going to be. You just have to be prepared for every game, every coverage, and go out there ready."
