Patriots Blog: Crowd Noise At Gillette
FOXBORO (CBS) - A touchy subject was approached in the Patriots locker room Tuesday afternoon.
With the Pats set to host an AFC divisional game next Saturday, the topic of crowd noise was brought up to Pats offensive lineman Brian Waters. Now Waters has played most of his career in Kansas City. Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play, is one of the loudest places in the NFL.
So Waters was asked, where does Gillette rank? He was very cautious with his answer.
"Good question," Waters responded before a few moments of awkward laughter. "It's a tough question. You're right, I have played in some loud places, and this place can be loud -- at times."

After the follow-up question which asked if he thought Gillette could be louder, Waters went to full on defense mode.
"I have no idea. This is my first year here. You have to ask someone who's been here a long period of time," Waters responded. "I'm not going to get into that one. That's not a good situation to really comment on."
This year, Gillette has been louder than most years and the players would love it to be crazy and intimidating for the playoffs.
Let's see how this plays out. I'm sure Tom Brady is hoping for another "lubed up" crowd next weekend.
