Patriots-Bengals Pregame News & Notes

BOSTON (CBS) — The Patriots will play in their second of five nationally televised games this season on Sunday night, when they take on the 3-0 Cincinnati Bengals.

Here are some news and notes about the upcoming matchup:

- This will be the 24th meeting between the Patriots and the Bengals. New England holds the edge with a 14-9 record against Cincinnati.

- The Bengals beat the Patriots last season 13-6. In that game, the Pats didn't score a touchdown ending Tom Brady's streak of 52 consecutive games with a least one touchdown pass.

- Tom Brady is 4-1 against Cincinnati, and 12-8 in 20 Sunday Night Football games.

- The Pats are 20-16 all time on Sunday night football

- The Pats have won 31 straight regular season home games against AFC Conference opponents.

- New England hasn't lost a home regular season conference game since 2008.

- Since 2003, the Pats are 22-1 in the month of October at Gillette Stadium. They are also an NFL-best 37-9 during the month of October since 2003.

- The Patriots have sold out 219 consecutive home games, including playoff and preseason games.

- Bill Belichick really admires Bengals founder Paul Brown, calling him the "father of professional football."

- Alfonzo Dennard is a cousins with Bengals corner Darqueze Dennard, but they pronounce their last names differently.

- Rob Gronkowski has caught at least one pass in all 54 regular season games that he's played.

- Brady needs just 60 more passing yards to become the sixth player in NFL history to reach 50,000 passing yards.

- The next time Brady and Gronk hook up for a touchdown pass, they will pass Drew Bledsoe and Ben Coates for the second most QB-tight end touchdowns in NFL history.

- The Pats have thrown at least one touchdown pass in 42 straight home games. That's the longest such streak, since the NFL merger.
