Patrick Kennedy Marries NJ Teacher At Family Compound In Hyannis Port
HYANNIS -- The Kennedy compound was buzzing with activity on Friday.
Former Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy married Amy Petitgout, a teacher from New Jersey, at the compound in Hyannis Port.
On Thursday, Kennedy spent his last day as a single man sailing Nantucket sound with his family and future in-laws.
This is Kennedy's first marriage. This week also marks his 44th birthday, and he says he's feeling great.
WBZ-TV's Jim Armstrong has more details
"I'm very excited," he said. "Not only is the weather clear, but everyone is down, so I'm surrounded by family," said Kennedy.
The wedding was officiated by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
Kennedy and Petigout are registered at Bloomingdale's for linens and small appliances, and at Williams-Sonoma for cookware.
