There are very few summer weekend days when Mike's Pastry in the North End does not enjoy a line out the door. And tourist legions carrying Mike's pastry boxes act as unwitting promotional assets that keep the lines robust. But there other pastry shops in the North End including Modern Pastry, Cafe Vittoria, and Bova's Bakery. Is Mike's really "all that?" Is it really the best. Let's ask the locals.
