Parents Outraged Over Victoria's Secret Racy New Lingerie Line
BOSTON (CBS) - Brightly colored underpants in neon and pastels have phrases like "call me," "sun kissed," and "now or never" across the front or back.
You can find them on the shelves at Victoria's Secret, and that's what has some parents protesting and boycotting the store.
"She sees Victoria's Secret and she wants to go in because all of her friends are wearing it," said Marissa Morales about her 13-year-old daughter. "Not in my house."
Some say the thongs are marketed toward "tween" girls and an online petition has been set urging the chain to pull the thongs off shelves.
Reverend Evan Dolive, a father from Houston, posted an "Open Letter to Victoria's Secret."
It has gone viral, with more than two million views and nearly three thousand comments. In the letter, the Reverend makes reference to a video on the store's website that depicts teenage-looking females dancing and playing on beaches in bathing suits.
Dr. Eli Newberger, who founded Children's Hospital's Child Protection Team, says it's not only inappropriate, it's dangerous.
"Many images that we think are innocent, that sexualize children, are used by pedophiles to provide stimulation," he says.

Victoria's Secret Pink is a brand for college-aged women. Despite recent rumors, we have no plans to introduce a collection for younger women.
In the meantime, Victoria's Secret has pulled the advertising video off its website without explanation but the controversial merchandise still beckons.
