Pair Of Shootings Claim At Least One Life In Roxbury
BOSTON (CBS) - Police are investigating a pair of multiple shootings Saturday in the Roxbury neighborhood of the city.
An incident Saturday afternoon, which occurred near the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Washington Street, claimed the life of a female shooting victim, and a second shooting victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
At about 4:30 p.m., police dispatched all available detectives, plainclothes officers, a gang unit and a drug unit to the shooting scene.
Earlier Saturday morning, police investigated another shooting in the neighborhood. Two people were injured in the morning incident, with one shooting victim seriously wounded and hospitalized and the other suffering injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
