Out For Blood: Mass. & Michigan Red Cross Blood Banks Compete During ALCS
BOSTON (CBS) - It looks like the 2014 ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers could turn into a blood bath, or at least that might be the case with fans.
The American Red Cross Massachusetts and Southeastern Michigan blood services regions have challenged each other to see which team's fans can donate more blood during the series.
The winner of that contest will get some local home grown foods from the opposing blood bank, along with bragging rights.
Red Cross is asking fans to donate between October 12 and the end of the series, which could be over anytime between October 16th and 20th.
Red Cross says it will raffle off a Boston baseball jersey during the blood drive.
