Our First Seabreeze...

I left my house about 15 miles from Boston and the coast early this afternoon and the temp was 43, when I opened up the car door  in the station parking lot in Allston I immediately smelled the marine air...checked teh thermometer, 37.  Our first  seabreeze of the season...ahhh another sign of Spring!  This sign, I'm not exactly a huge fan of though...don't like the cooling effect...but any sign is a good sign at this point!

High pressure will be centered to our north tomorrow and more of a weather wind will develop...onshore E/NE flow...this will penetrate a little farther inland than today's feeble seabreeze did...thus widespread highs in the upper 30s.

Of course, though, we are eyeing the end of the week for more flooding.  A trough will be digging into the Deep South gathering lots of moisture as it heads up the Appalachians.  The trough will slow down and cut-off so the steady heavier rain will be delayed to Friday but amounts should still approach an inch if not more...not as much as the copious number to our west but enough, coupled with snowmelt, to elevate the flood threat again.
