Other bills in hopper await approval
As the Massachusetts Legislature nears the end of its session Saturday night, lawmakers are rushing to pass a host of major bills, including an attempt to overhaul the state's Criminal Offender Record Information system.
The bill to overhaul the state's Criminal Offender Record Information system, known as CORI, would reduce the length of time criminal offenses stay on an offender's record. Supporters say that would help ex-inmates get jobs and return to productive lives.
