O's Edge Sox in 11 to Avoid Sweep
Nick Markakis drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th off of Hideki Okajima to give the Orioles a 4-3 victory over the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon. The Sox led 2-0 after a 2-run HR by Victor Martinez (8) in the 2nd. Baltimore took the lead in the bottom of the 8th only to have Boston tie the score in the 9th.
John Lackey (5-3, 4.72) went 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, 3 walks, with 2 K's.
Mike Cameron returned to the lineup and played CF. He finished 1-3, with 2 walks and a run scored.
The Red Sox continue their road trip Monday night against the Cleveland Indians.
