Ortiz 'Boston' Jersey Raises $37,400 For One Fund Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Game-worn Red Sox jerseys auctioned off for the One Fund Boston this past week have raised more than $310,000.
There were 40 game-worn autographed jerseys from the April 20th game against the Kansas City Royals that were up for grabs in the Boston BStrong Auction.
Jonny Gomes also contributed a couple of autographed bats from that game.
The "BOSTON" home jersey that David Ortiz wore sold for $37,400.
Seven other Boston jerseys from that day each sold for more than $10,000: Clay Buchholz ($16,100), Jon Lester ($14,100), Dustin Pedroia ($17,300), Jonny Gomes ($16,500), Shane Victorino ($12,600), Jacoby Ellsbury ($11,951) and Jarrod Saltalamacchia ($10,105).
