Victims Of Violent Marshfield Home Invasion Could Face Drug Dealing Charges
MARSHFIELD (CBS) - The victims of a violent home invasion in Marshfield Tuesday night could end up facing drug dealing charges, after responding police officers say they discovered an "elaborate" marijuana growing operation in the home.
The attack happened at a home on Acorn Street around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Despite earlier reports of a possible shooting victim, police said Wednesday that three people who were inside the home were tied up and pistol whipped during the attack.
"This was not a random act," Police Chief Phillip Tavares said. "It is believed one of the suspects knew one of the people who was living at the home. To alleviate any fears of the community, this was done between two individuals who knew each other."
One victim, who has not been identified, was severely beaten, suffered serious facial injuries, and needed to be flown to Brigham and Women's Hospital. That person's condition has not been released.
One person has been arrested in connection with the home invasion; Eddy Monteiro, 20, of Brockton.
He's set to be arraigned in Plymouth District Court. Investigators are still looking for two other suspects.
Police say Monteiro frequently went to the home of Paul Perilli in Marshfield to buy marijuana.
But Tuesday night, police say Monteiro brought two friends with him and one of them had a gun. The three went upstairs, where Perilli had two friends with him.
Then, the guy with a gun began beating Perilli and his two friends.
During the fight, police say Perilli struggled with the gunman, and one round was fired, but it didn't hit anyone.
Later, when police searched the home, they were stunned.
"We found several pounds of bagged marijuana," said Tavares, "and several thousand dollars, plus a large growing operation in one room, complete with lighting and a carbon dioxide system."
Police have not yet charged Perilli.
Police are currently looking for two dark-skinned men from Brockton.
