One More Day...

The high today was 63 degrees...ouch...normally it's 75.  In Boston, despite the hours of wet weather, we only measured a quarter of an inch.  With that said, many communities especially along the South Coast and in Central and Western MA have tallied well over an inch.  No change is expected through tomorrow evening...mostly mist and drizzle but occasionally a heavy downpour passes and soaks the area.

On Friday, Hurricane Katia will pass well offshore but the flow around it (counterclockwise) will drag down some much drier air and the sun will emerge and boost our temps back up to respectable levels again...around 80.

After days of wet weather, we will deserve a sunny, dry weekend.  I'd like to guarantee one, but at this time there will be a front draped to our south with a little action on it for the Mid-Atlantic.  There are some indications that a weak wave of low pressure will develop on it slowing the southward progression of the front and keeping clouds and maybe even a few showers around early on Saturday...this is an unlikely scenario but there is a small chance for showers especially South of the Pike Saturday morning.
