North Reading Man Killed In Early Morning Andover Crash

ANDOVER (CBS) – One person was killed early Friday morning following a three-car crash in Andover.

Massachusetts State Police responded to Route 93 South just before 1 a.m. on Friday.

Police said the initial investigation shows that 23-year-old Kenneth McGregor of North Reading was driving a 2004 Chevy Impala near Exit 41 when he rear-ended a 26-year-old Malden man in a 2004 Toyota Corolla.

As a result of the crash, McGregor's Impala became disabled in the right travel lane. Shortly after, police said a 24-year-old Brookline man driving a 2014 Lexus hit McGregor's disabled vehicle.

McGregor was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the other drivers sustained injuries as a result of the crash.

State police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
