Fred-stradamus Toucher Had A Feeling Ole Miss Was Paying Players Back In February

BOSTON (CBS) -- If it still constitutes as a "bombshell" when a college athlete accepts money from a person at a university, then Ole Miss' Laremy Tunsil dropped a bombshell on Thursday night.

After the whole gas mask/marijuana fiasco cost him his draft position and a bunch of money, someone hacked his Instagram account and revealed text messages between Tunsil and Ole Miss coaches about paying bills for the players' mother.

When Tunsil took the podium after being selected by the Dolphins, he was asked if he ever took money from coaches.

"I'd have to say, 'Yeah,'" Tunsil answered.

It may not be entirely surprising, but -- but! -- it was some vindication for Fred Toucher.

Back in February, after seeing Ole Miss in the mix on National Signing Day, Fred expressed some skepticism about how exactly Ole Miss was able to compete with some of the bigger-name and more-prominent schools.

"You could have a team like Ole Miss, that can some reason get these kids," Fred said back on Feb. 4. "It's strange that just all of a sudden, like every other year, they'll get like five of the top 10 prospects. Nothing to see here."

Boom!

So there you have it. Fred Toucher: soothsayer. Facts are facts.
