Oh, That Summer Feel

It seems that Mother Nature isn't easily letting go of Summer 2011.

It was a very warm and almost tropical-like weekend, and the weather today will be no different.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

With average highs in the upper 60s for late September, I don't hear many complaints when our thermometers are climbing into the upper 70s and lower 80s.

The most uncomfortable part of this weather pattern is the high humidity with dewpoints in the 65-70F range.

I had my A/C on 'cold blast' this weekend!

A slight drop in temperatures will begin Tuesday as winds shift.

The ENE breeze will knock temps down to the lower and middle 70s.   The weather still looks dry though.

The best chance of rain will begin Wednesday and linger into midday Thursday.

Behind the passage of this front, the sunshine will return with lower humidity.

A secondary cold front will move in behind the initial front, which is the one that truly provides a change in air masses... a Continental Polar air mass.

There may be a brief, spot shower on Friday afternoon.

The first weekend of October is going to feel like Fall.

High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 60s.

Atlantic Tropical Update:

Our 16th named storm has come to fruition...T.S. Philippe. Its track poses no threat to the Eastern Seaboard.

Melissa :)
