'Occupy' Supporters Hack Boston Police Websites
BOSTON (CBS) - A group called 'Anonymous' says it hacked into several websites associated with the Boston police department.
The group claims to have attacked the Boston police patrolman's association website and email portal.
The group says it posted names, email addresses and the passwords of BPD members.
'Anonymous' says it attacked the websites in response to the city's unprovoked arrests of the Occupy Boston protesters last week.
The group says it attacked at least 40 police-related websites all over the country.
Boston police have acknowledged the attacks, saying various sites were compromised.
BPD says it is tightening security on its network. They are also recommending that officers change their email passwords.
