State Police took to their Twitter account late Thursday morning to express their gratitude to the Boston Red Sox's AL East division rivals.
"Touching gesture today in sympathy for (Trooper) Clardy from @Yankees," they tweeted. "On behalf of MSP and Clardy families, thank you."
Clardy stopped a Chevy Tahoe on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Charlton on March 16, when he was struck and killed by a Nissan Maxima.
He was laid to rest on Tuesday in his hometown of Hudson.
