Now the Real Cold...

Up to this point we really haven't experienced true arctic air...that's about to change.  Arctic air will be pouring in over the next few days with some of the coldest air in years.  An Arctic front will pass through early Sunday morning, it may fire off a snow shower in its passage but most importantly it will reinforce the cold.  This will lead to daytime highs on Sunday in the teens and overnight lows -15 to -5 in the burbs and near 3 below in Boston on Monday morning.  This will be the first time Boston dips below freezing since 2005.  The rebound won't be much on Monday, in fact some towns will stay in the single digits and Boston's high might end up around 10!  Once again Tuesday morning will be bitterly cold and the record of -5 in Boston could be threatened.  Middle of next week phasing between the southern and northern stream will likely occur and a large coastal storm will form to our south.  There are numerous possibilities and a lot of speculation at this point on how it might effect us here in New England.  I find it really annoying considering how much buzz and hype this storm has already mustered up considering it hasn't even formed yet...there's still a chance that it misses us...I guess in the end we are partially responsible for that...
